Toledo Delta Iota

The University of 'I'oledo, under the guidance of Dr. Steven Kramer and Dr. James E. A. John, petitioned the National Council of Pi Tau Sigma for a chapter. As a result, the Toledo Delta Iota was installed on February 23, 1974 by the national officers. It is the hope of the chapter to recognize outstanding mechanical engineering students and to increase the bond of friendship among these students as well as with members of the university community.

The Delta Iota chapter works cooperatively with local A.S.M.E. members on projects of significance to the College of Engineering and the University.The chapter was instrumental in remodeling the student study lounge and computation room. The chapter also serves as hosts at the annual open house during Engineers' Week, as well as assisting undergraduates during registration and orientation. Members of Pi Tau Sigma provide tutoring services for undergraduate engineering students.
