In January, 1942, several students of high rank, encouraged by Professor H. M. Cather and L. D. Hayes, and with the approval of the University Administration, petitioned the National Council of Pi Tau Sigma for the installation of a chapter. On March 31, 1942, the West Virginia Pi Gamma Chapter was formally installed by National President H. E. Degler.
ANNUAL SUMMARY REPORTS
At the end of each second semester the Chapter awards the highest ranking junior mechanical engineering student an engineering handbook. In addition, Pi Gamma organizes projects which are not only beneficial to the college of engineering, but serve the surrounding community as well.
