Rose-Hulman Sigma Lambda

Twenty-seven charter members began the Pi Tau Sigma tradition at Rose Poly on February 21, 1968, with the Rose Sigma Lambda installation by Mr. Kent Springer, Mr. Edward Jerger, Mr. James Bayne, and student delegations from Purdue and Illinois.

1968 graduate Craig Weerts first recognized the need of Pi Tau Sigma for the large mechanical engineering department at Rose. Under the advisory leadership of Professor Irvin P. Hooper, the chapter promotes better student-department understanding and maintains a mechanical engineering graduate school directory.
